More About Ashland Farmers Market

We're Still 'Keepin it Fresh'-
but the market will be a bit different this year...

Safety will be our number one priority, and we all have an important role to play. The AFM will be an essential outdoor food market this year. We are committed to following the guidelines from Governor Baker, the Ashland Board of Health, Select Board, and Town Manager.

For a full list of participating food vendors, do visit our AFM website ashlandfarmersmarket.org

Here is what you can do to help:
If you are sick OR under quarantine, Please stay home
Clean masks or face coverings over the nose and mouth are mandatory for everyone attending or working at the market (*Unless you have a medical conditions that prohibits mask use)
Please consider sending only one person per family to shop
Though we LOVE them, sadly, NO pets allowed
Use Pre-order and curb-side pick up directly with the farmers (* See our food vendors links from the Virtual Market)
Pay with credit/debit cards or bring small bills to make change
Download our updated 2020 Vendor map (attached here) and plan your shopping with the new one-way path through the market
Maintain 6FT social distancing at all times and no social gatherings at the beginning or throughout the market
Hand sanitizer will be available
In order to comply with Covid-19 safety procedures, we have had to cancel our Musical acts, Kids Corner activities, Community groups, and our talented Artisans.
Keep in mind, the Town officials may close the Market if these rules are not followed.

NEW MARKET FORMAT & TRAFFIC PATTERN
So...in our new world-we will have a one-way traffic pattern for shopping, in and out of the market. No entry will be permitted EXCEPT from the main entrance.
The entrance line next to the Town parking lot will be monitored and while in the queue, all must keep a 6 FT social distance from other customers.
There will be a limited number of shoppers allowed inside the market at one time, counted by the Market Managers.
SNAP tokens will be plastic and available only at the Market Manager Tent at the entrance.
There will be no parking allowed along Front Street directly in front of the market, as the vendors will be set up in that space. Customers may park in the Town lot.
Customers are encouraged to do pre-orders, online and by phone and pre-pay, so it is easier to collect your favorite foods from our vendors. If you must bring cash, bring small bills for exact change. Please consider sending only one person per family to do the shopping. There will be a maximum of 2-3 shoppers allowed at a vendor tent at one time, 6FT apart. Markings will be visible on the ground at each tent to indicate where to stand while waiting.
No congregating or socializing at the vendor booths, in the market area, or after you leave the market.
Porta Potty is for use of Vendors and Staff only.

Vendors are all encouraging pre-orders to help speed your shopping experience
Credit or Debit purchases may be arranged with the vendor in advance of your pick-up
This is a No-Touch Market- *Vendors will select the items you want -For You!
Vendors will be wearing gloves and masks and have hand sanitizer available
Vendors all have incorporated appropriate social distancing and sanitation methods
Request that you drop cash or SNAP tokens into a designated container to limit interaction and touching
No eating at the market or sampling at the Market Vendor tents
No personal reusable bags will be allowed on site.

SNAP BENEFIT PROCESS CHANGES-
Food Assistance at the Market-
*HIP program is available from Upswing Farms & Long Life Farms
AFM will continue to match SNAP benefits up to $20 to provide access to fresh food.
We will be using plastic tokens for SNAP to allow for easier disinfecting. Please get these at the Market Managers Tent at our entrance.
SNAP EBT machines will be managed by a Market Manager- and will be cleaned and sanitized after each transaction.
All Vendors will have containers for you to drop these tokens into, which will limit any touching.
If you still have wooden tokens from previous years, take them first to the Market Managers tent to trade them in for the newer plastic tokens.
