More About Participate in LOVE01760 - Connecting Our Hearts While Apart

LOVE 01760 is a community wide public art project conceived by members of the Natick Center Cultural District, SPARK Kindness, local artists, businesses and organizations to help connect us while we all continue to practice responsible social distancing.

Anyone can participate.

The heart template can be found in Files.

Here are instructions:

* The individual heart halves will be “connected” to each other by gluing two halves to a single sheet of white card stock to create the whole heart.
* The connected hearts will be laminated and sewn together with yarn to create banners. (We’ll need volunteers for that when the time comes!)
* The banners will be displayed outside in Natick Center. Possible locations include the gazebo, the pedestrian bridge, individual storefronts and more.
* Your heart halves should be no thicker than a stack of 10 pieces of regular thickness copy paper or 5 pieces of card stock. Non paper items added as decoration are A-OK and welcomed but need to stay within the depth of the 10 pieces of paper. This is to accommodate the lamination process. While we LOVE the beauty and magnificence of the more creative pieces we have already received we ask that you follow the new parameters for creating your heart halves. The 3D pieces already received will be displayed in an alternative format in an indoor environment.
* Make as many as you want. We’d love to end up with >400 connected hearts. We can NEVER have too many hearts!!!
* We have not established a deadline yet for when we will have to quit accepting heart halves. We’ll do that when we are all able to travel freely, see each other and “reconnect”!
* SHARE the page and project with your friends and family.
THANK YOU to everyone who has created hearts, shared the project, posted on social media and have been cheerleaders and vocal supporters. Our journey is just beginning and we’re so happy you are all along for the ride!
