More About Fugitive Stories: Moth-Inspired True Stories Told Live

“People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact, it’s the other way around.” — Terry Pratchett

Why go into Boston when you can hear the very best of storytellers right here in Metrowest?! Love the Moth? Want to hear the same great quality? Come join us!

Fugitive Stories is an event that brings new and experienced storytellers together to challenge and delight us with this profoundly personal, accessible craft. We bring Moth and Massmouth Slam winners from Greater Boston who prepare a five- to six-minute story on a theme.

And YOU can be part of the evening! And we invite community members each night to tell THEIR stories…YOUR stories! Sign up online to request to be a scheduled teller (use this link) OR Come that night, put your name in a hat and you may be picked!

Amazing Things Arts Center, founded in 2005, is located at a restored firehouse in downtown Framingham. With a mission to Create Community through the Arts, the Center produces open mics in jazz, folk, cabaret and comedy and produces professional music and comedy on the weekends. The Center hosts two art galleries within its walls and a third at the Starbucks on Route 9 in Framingham. We are a non-profit, membership organization, here to serve and celebrate the Metrowest community!

As a general rule, we welcome the submission of events from charities, non-profit organizations, and municipal or community organizations such as mayor's offices, churches, schools, and the like. To get started, simply create an account. It's free and easy and you'll be able to start posting events as soon as you receive your authorization email.
