More About 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony - Cushing Park

The City of Framingham will host a remembrance ceremony for the eighteenth anniversary of September 11, 2001, and the seventeen people with ties to Framingham who lost their lives. The event will occur at the September 11th Living Memorial located at Cushing Memorial Park, Dudley Road, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 6:30 p.m.

The ceremony will include solemn remarks, a reading of the names on the memorial, prayer offerings and a presentation of the colors by the Framingham Fire Honor Guard.

In addition to the ceremony, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum presented a Callery Pear “Survivor Tree” seedling to the City which will be dedicated and planted at the Living Memorial. The seedling was sourced from the original tree that endured and survived the attacks of September 11, 2001. The tree will forever stand as a living reminder of resilience, survival, and rebirth. A short presentation, description of the Survivor Tree program, and dedication will follow the annual remembrance ceremony.
All are invited to attend this memorial event.
