Third Sunday Music @Freehold Reformed Church

Music is now featured in new ways on the third Sunday of each month at Freehold Reformed Church. Guest artists, children and special musical selections will be highlighted during the worship services. Guests for the upcoming month will be as follows: August 18-Jackie Jones, vocals with Alva Nelson,keyboard. Please join us for worship, not only on the third Sunday of each month, but as often as you are able. Worship begins at 10:00 A.M.

Jackie Jones is a Newark native and a graduate of Arts High School & Rutgers University. She has toured throughout the United States as well as internationally, including Switzerland, Russia, Germany and Portugal and is currently teaching Jazz Vocal at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Ms. Jones musical associations are formidable indeed. She has opened for the legendary Lou Rawls and has performed with numerous noteworthy artists including bassist Christian McBride, pianist Nat Adderley, Jr., drummer Winard Harper, Trumpeter Valery Ponomarev and saxophonists Don Braden and Houston Person. Pianist Alva Nelson is a multifaceted musician who performs and creates music that is diverse, sophisticated and exhilarating. A Houston native, he attended Sam Houston University, and Texas Southern University and has been awarded two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships. He has performed,arranged and orchestrated music for the Boys Choir of Harlem, The Orchestra of Saint Luke’s and the New York Philharmonic. For more information visit click for details
