Want to reduce your risk of coronary heart disease, improve your blood pressure blood sugar levels – and your mood – while reducing the risk of osteoporosis, cancer and diabetes? Take a Saturday morning to “Walk With A Doc” from Baylor Scott & White Health on the second Saturday of each month.

On March 10, join Rachel McCreary-Fielder, MD, for an informative discussion on taking care of your skin. Then step off on a healthy, two-mile walk and continue the conversation.

Participation is free, and you also can get blood pressure screenings, personal pedometers, T-shirts and refreshments. Walk With A Doc starts at 9 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8 in San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Morrow St., Georgetown, TX 78628.

From the north, take I-35 South to Exit 264 and frontage road. Turn left on Lakeway Drive and take first right at N. Austin Ave. Turn left on Chamber Way and follow to end. From the south, take 1-35 North to Exit 261 (TX 29/Burnet). Keep right at fork and follow signs to Taylor. Merge onto W. University Ave., turn left on S. Austin Ave., turn right onto Chamber Way and follow to the end. Watch for Walk With A Doc signage along Chamber Way. For more information, visit walkwithadoc.sw.org.
