Weekly meditation classes are offered at the Temple in Glen Spey, NY as well as in Scranton PA, Sparta NJ and Beacon, Saratoga Springs & Warwick, NY.

The Kadampa World Peace Temple in Glen Spey was designed by world-renowned meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso by the international non-profit organization the International Temples Project 501(c)3 which was founded with the intention of building World Peace Temples for public benefit. The Glen Spey Temple was opened in 2006 by Venerable Geshe-la. It is the national Temple and part of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union, a worldwide network of Buddhist Centers that are located in over 40 different countries.

The modern Buddhist Temple at Kadampa Meditation Center New York offers meditation classes, day courses, retreats, Buddhist prayers chanted in English and a chance to learn more about the Buddhist way of life. The classes and courses are designed to help those who wish to deepen their understanding of basic Buddhist thought and practice, as well as for those who simply wish to start a meditation practice or to meditate in a group setting. The purpose of the center is to help people learn practical methods to solve their daily problems and to live a happy and meaningful life.

The Center offers group & corporate visits, mindfulness workshops & presentations, personal retreats, day trips, kids meditation, school field trips, accommodations & meals, and community outreach.

The Kadampa World Peace Temple also houses a World Peace Café & espresso bar including locally baked goods and vegetarian fare, a bookstore and gift shop which carries a range of unique gifts, spiritual inspirations, cards, meditation accessories, Buddhist art, and books on Buddhism and meditation. Open to the public, stop in an enjoy the peace of the Temple and nature trails.
