SIXTH ANNUAL NATIVE PLANT FESTIVAL

Join Engage Mountain Maryland in beautiful New Germany State Park to discover the important connection between native plants, people, and wildlife at the Sixth Annual Native Plant Festival on Saturday, May 11.

This day-long event is the perfect way to add interesting native plants to your landscape while buying directly from nursery experts. Nature lovers also enjoy the informative lectures that center on plant varieties, the environment, and conservation topics.

A large array of species native to the mid-Atlantic region will be on sale. Please note that sales are only with cash or check due to limited internet service in New Germany State Park.

To insure availability, orders may also be placed in advance will some vendors and picked up the day of the event.

This year's vendors include:

Wood Thrush Native Plant Nursery, Floyd, VA

Evergreen Heritage Center, Mount Savage, MD

Go Native Tree Farm, Lancaster, PA

Allegany County Forestry Board, Flintstone, MD

In addition to the pop-up plant market, there will be family-friendly outdoor activities and educational programs for adults that highlight native plants and biodiversity.

Experts from local organizations will also be available to answer questions on native plants and other conservation topics.
