More About Why we list some Cancelled Events?

Along with all the good information on what to know and things to do during this time we have kept SOME cancelled events on our site for several reasons:

1) Some people have tickets to the event and may want to check on refunds. (We'll post reschedules as we get them.)

2) Sometimes we just want to know what would have been happening - Like the Cubs would have been playing in Milwaukee etc.

3) Certain entities are missing out on their FUNDRAISERS like Home of the Sparrow. A main fundraiser was cancelled but they still need (and need more than ever) donations. What will happen with the Shriner's Vidalia Onion Sale?

4) Keeping the events on our site will make it easier to reschedule the events when they occur. Deleting means having to recreate the entire event post versus reposting it on the new date.

5) Believe it or not even with a Stay at Home order in place some people will ask: "Are they still having our Easter egg HUNT?" etc. And what if the order is lifted? Who is having what or not is even more critical to know.

6) With so much information out there and so many that do not follow every entity's FB page we are the ONE PLACE for that information for the ENTIRE community not just the people that Like or Follow a particular organization

7) Just as thousands consulted our page at the start of this asking: "Is this event cancelled or not?" so too when we come out of this many will be asking almost the same question: "Is this event on our not?" and we will be there as the ONE PLACE to provide the answer so they don't miss it in their time line or get the info too early or too late. Our info is easy to find and not lost in your feed/timeline.

Finally, while online at our site - like you are now! - you will see our coupons and sponsors. Take time to click on their link or call them to learn how they can assist you during these times. Use a money saving coupon to support a local business.
