Celebrate Roxbury Township’s 280th anniversary with a FREE self-guided walking history tour – a great outdoor, fresh air activity for you and your family. Using a free commemorative tour booklet as your guide, stroll along Main Street's sidewalks with your friends and family (face masks and social distancing please) and learn all about the interesting history of Roxbury Township. Tour starts at the Roxbury Public Library.
Explore where Lenni Lenape Native Americans, Revolutionary & Civil War soldiers and a NJ Governor are buried. See where George Washington visited his troops and where a tavern/stagecoach stop still stands. Roxbury Township proudly celebrates 280 years of rich history.
