Hammond Public Library plans its 5th annual Local Author Fair for Sat., May 5 from 12-3 p.m. Authors already scheduled to appear are Don S. McClure; Mark Cusco Ailes; Derek Ailes; Laura Wintczak Eckroat; Rosemary Gard; D. A. Rhodes; Dennis Sampson; James McNabney; Elvis Slaughter; Adra Young; Imani Josey; and Valrie Kemp-Davis.

A limited number of tables remain. The table fee benefits the Hammond Public Library Foundation. Tables are $20 through April 7, $30 thereafter. Local authors who wish to reserve a table at which to sell their books may contact Linda Swisher at (219) 931-5100, ext. 310 or Debra Powers at ext. 320 to receive information and a registration form. The Hammond Public Library is at 564 State St. (intersection of Sibley and Sohl) in Hammond.
