The Legendary Horseshoe Hammond Casino Ranked Fourth in 2022 Best Places to Work

The legendary Horseshoe Hammond, located just a quick 20-minute drive from downtown Chicago right along Lake Michigan at777 Casino Center Drive in Hammond, Indiana, has been ranked as one of the top 2022 Best Places to Work by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce for the twelfth consecutive year, this year claiming fourth. A total of 125 Indiana businesses were recognized this year, with Horseshoe Hammond being the only casino to make the list. The company rankings were unveiled yesterday evening, May 12 at an event sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College. 

Horseshoe Hammond currently has 1,150 Team Members. The team leads by fostering an environment of 'together we win' consistently striving to promote a diverse Team Member population, positive work-life balance and continually giving back to the community and environment. In 2021 alone, Horseshoe donated over $100,000 to local charities & had over 2,500 volunteer hours. Horseshoe Hammond offers robust wellness programs for its Team Members and families, as well as mentoring and empowerment groups, and also focuses on diversity and DEI and sincere Team Member Appreciation programs. Winners of the evening were selected from four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana. 

The 2022 Best Places to Work in Indiana companies range in Hoosier employee count from 15 to nearly 1,300. All companies that have participated in the Best Place to Work program receive a comprehensive evaluation of their areas of strengths and opportunities according to their employees. This report is often used in recruiting and retention programs, which are more important than ever.
