Downtown Highland will be the venue for the Town's 5th Downtown Car Cruise on Saturday, June 2nd, from 1 pm to 5 pm. The event will be hosted by the Highland Main Street Board, in conjunction with the Highland Redevelopment Commission.

The event will feature scores of vintage cars, parked in Highland's downtown, along Highway Avenue and Jewett Street, from Kennedy Avenue to 5th Street. The event is free, and open to all ages. During the event, visitors will be able to stop in and frequent downtown businesses that are open.

Van Senus Auto Value Parts Store, of Highland and Hammond is once again the Presenting Sponsor for this event. Other local business sponsors include the following: Platinum Sponsors: Thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep; Rauer Plumbing; Circle Buick GMC; Centsible Heating and Air; and, AC Graphix House. Langel’s Pizza is a Gold Sponsor for the event.

The town has once again entered into a contract with Thunder Road Productions, of Lansing, Illinois, to organize the event. TRP will provide staff, handle registration of entries, and provide a trailer with a PA system and music for the event. Twenty awards will be presented to this year’s participants.

No rain date has been scheduled for the event.
