More About Negotiation Skills

Many things in life are negotiable. Negotiations are a daily must-do for business professionals, but are often feared or avoided, and generally misunderstood. These are skills that anyone can learn and get good at with a bit of practice. This program will give you the opportunity to practice these skills and get immediate feedback and coaching so that you can walk away with increased skill levels and confidence to handle future negotiations.

What you will learn:

• Identify personal “hot buttons” using techniques to control emotions
• Apply strategies to uncover others’ interests and opportunities for mutual gain
• Overcome common obstacles to successful negotiation
• Deal with “hard bargainers” and “price buyers”
• Control your negotiation timeline

This course can be taken individually or as part of the Supervisory Management Certificate Program. This is an elective course. Take any six days of electives plus the three core courses to complete your certificate.
