Want to do something crazy on January 28? The Garrett County Snow Drifters Club will be holding a “Pink Ribbon Radar Run” to benefit Cindy’s Fund.
Here are some details:
Gates will open at 10:00 AM, and the run starts at 1:00 PM.
This is a snowmobile event where people will compete for the fastest time – not a race – a radar gun will track your speed at 500 feet.
Ladies MUST WEAR A bikini/swimsuit, and guys wear a speedo. CRAZY COSTUMES ARE A PLUS, BUT CAN’T COVER YOUR SWIMSUIT. (SPEEDOS CAN BE PURCHASED ON AMAZON FOR $15 – NO EXCUSES, GUYS!) No body shaming!
Snowmobile classes will be determined on the day of the event (engine size).
It will be held at the Gary Harvey property on Sand Flat Road in Oakland, MD.
All participants will get a long-sleeved t-shirt.
Don’t have a snowmobile but want to participate? You can ride on the back of a snowmobile with a Snowdrifter member.
Pledge sheets are going to be available – after all, this is a fundraiser.
Food vendors will be on-site.
Warming tents and trailers will be on-site.
There will be a $10 admission fee to watch the event.
This is a popular event in Wisconsin and other snow states. It’s all in fun and benefits a great cause – people with cancer in Garrett County!!
Registration forms will be available soon. Remember – if you don’t have a snowmobile, you can ride with a Snowdrifter member!
