More About A Million Garden Memories...Going Platinum in 2019

Chippewa Garden Club will celebrate its 70th Anniversary this year. Seventy years ago in 1949, 15 young women met to form a garden club. The club chose to celebrate the platinum anniversary by ‘going platinum’ similar to what the recording industry does when a record or album reaches a million in sales. They’ve reached, and quite frankly easily exceeded, a million garden memories in their 70 year history!
As they celebrate the exciting anniversary they wish “to share their love of gardening, to study the fine art of flower design, to aid in the protection of native plants and wildlife, to encourage civic betterment and to foster educational opportunities”, which has been their Mission Statement for over all the years.

Anniversaries are great causes for celebration as the members begin by the presentation of a flower show, “A Million Garden Memories…Going Platinum in 2019”. This event is a National Garden Club Horticulture Specialty Flower Show and will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 1-5 pm and Sunday, July 14 from noon to 3 pm.

Come and enjoy outstanding Horticulture, Botanical Arts Horticulture, Education Exhibits, Youth Exhibits and Photography. All exhibits will be judged by accredited Judges according to the rules established by National Garden Clubs, Inc. and The Handbook for Flower Shows 2017 Edition.
