Earth Day Indiana Recycle Run 5K & 1 Mile Walk

Earth Day Indiana Recycle Run 5K & 1 Mile Walk

More About Earth Day Indiana Recycle Run 5K & 1 Mile Walk

Run or walk along a scenic route in downtown Indianapolis! The 2nd annual Recycle Run 5K begins and finishes at Historic Military Park with the majority of the course taking you along the White River. Before and after your walk/run enjoy the free Earth Day Indiana Festival also taking place in Historic Military Park at White River State Park.

We've reduced our waste stream as much as possible by using recycled items needed for the race. We will have a recycling dumpster for plastic water bottles; bibs are ones left over from previous 5Ks; and participants will receive a recycled (unused) commemorative medal from a previous 5K event attached to a lanyard that is made from recycled plastic bottlesl! Hopefully, you will appreciate the new t-shirt that all participants receive rather than a recycled one.

You are encouraged to bring your own reusable water bottle as water availability may be limited to reduce waste. This is the 28th year for the Earth Day Indiana Festival and the 2nd year of the Recycle Run 5K Run/Walk. Parking is available at surface lots close to Historic Military Park.
