More About MLK Day of Service-Volunteer Opportunity - Second Harvest Food Bank

We want you to come serve your community and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the MLK Day of Service at Second Harvest. MLK Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service, and we have organized huge volunteer opportunities for our community. Call (423) 279-0430 ext. 225 to set an appointment between 9:00 a.m. and noon OR 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

What can you expect to do? We have a variety of projects like preparing packages for our Back Pack program, sorting food and packing boxes for emergency food boxes, packaging cookies, and other projects that will help us feed the people in the community who are depending on us for their next meal.
