More About Visit the Hesston Steam Museum! - Closed Temporarily

The museum’s board of directors has made the difficult decision to suspend public operations until further notice.

The museum will continue restoration and preservation work during this time and volunteers are encouraged to continue their work if they feel comfortable in doing so. We will reopen the museum grounds when we feel that we can do so in a safe manner that follows all recommended health guidelines.

As a result of this decision, the board will extend all 2020 memberships through the 2021 operating season.

History that Will Move You

This is not your typical stuffy museum.... visit us and you’ll walk right into an era long past. A simpler time where big machines did work, powered factories, moved mountains, fed the country or just entertained humanity.

Those machines are ready to enlighten and entertain your family, taking you on a journey not to be forgotten.

Scheduled to open Independence Day Weekend.

- 3 Different Railroads
- Miniature Railroads
- Living History Exhibits & Environments
- Food & Shopping
- So much more!
