More About State of the River 2023
Please join the Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association (BVPA) on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at the Vermilionville Performance Center in Lafayette for BVPA's Annual State of the River Event. Jambalaya and two free drink tickets will be served to those who register, but registration is not required for attendance. Two rain barrel art contest winners will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the respective schools who designed and painted them. Bare root native trees will be given away during the event.
This evening event will include information on the current state of the Vermilion River including the following:
· water quality,
· flood management,
· fish & wildlife discussions,
· recreation,
· and current efforts being made by public and private groups to improve our watershed.
Our presenters will be available to attendees at booths to have informal conversations about important topics in their area of expertise.
