The event is planned and hosted by the Harbor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity that is based in Southeast Texas.
Harbor Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for terminally ill patients, assisting bereaved family members, providing education about hospice benefits and such other charitable acts as may be approved by the Board of Directors. In order to raise funds for their mission, Harbor Foundation hosts several fundraisers a year, the Beaumont Butterfly Release, the Lake Charles Butterfly Release, and the Dinner for Life, an autumn black-tie event.
