The best time to visit Napa is August through October or March through May. Napa’s peak tourist season corresponds with the region’s harvest season (August through October). During this busy time, expect crowds and high prices for just about everything, especially accommodations.

It’s also a good time to take advantage of off-season hotel rates, which can often make an escape to Napa much easier on the budget.

April is the sweet spot with the least amount of rain and highs in the high 60s. April is also the best month to visit Napa Valley if you’re looking for decent hotel rates. Prices are low (for Napa standards) this time of year since there typically aren’t many, if any, festivals or events going on this month.

The months of March through May are a good time to visit Napa – there are less crowds and flowers are in bloom. September and November are often considered the best times to visit Napa. The weather is pleasant; there are less crowds; and hotel rates and prices for other things are not as high as during peak season.
