More About Avon Lake Star Parties Veterans Memorial Park ⭐

Join us as we hunt for shooting stars, look at the man in the moon and much more! Our local astronomer, Suzie Dills, will be on hand with a telescope or two to show you what to look for. Stop by to take a quick peek or bring a blanket and snacks and stay for a while. No registration required. FREE!

Celebrate the Summer Solstice! Watch the sunset on the longest day of the year.
Viewing the Moon, Venus, Mars & Summer Constellations.
Saturday, August 12– Walker Road Park Pavilion 9:30-11:00 pm.
Annual Perseid Meteor Shower Party! Bring blankets, lawn chairs & snacks & watch for shooting stars. Also viewing Saturn & Summer Constellations.
Saturday, October 14 – Avon Lake Public Library 11:30am - 2:30pm
Partial Annular Solar Eclipse. Begins at 11:48am. Maximum at 1:07pm. Ends at 2:28pm. Entire Eclipse will last 2 hours and 41 minutes. Come and Safely view the partial eclipse.
What if it's cloudy? Unfortunately, clouds will prevent the program from taking place. If this is the case, we will have to cancel. But plan to attend the next one! If weather is questionable, check our Facebook for updates: No news is good news!
