More About Sensory Friendly Times at Enchanted Railroad

The Morton Arboretum is hosting Enchanted Railroad Sensory Friendly Times, a sensory-friendly hour to experience the annual model railroad display every Tuesday and Sunday evening during the Enchanted Railroad Exhibit. Since some children may be overstimulated by the sights and sounds of the Enchanted Railroad, special times have been created to accommodate these families.

Registration will be capped at 40 guests at each time slot so that families can enjoy a crowd-free space. The volume of railroad display noises will be reduced and sensory tools will be available to help ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.

The Enchanted Railroad is accessible to people who use a wheelchair and to guests who need to avoid stairs. If additional accommodations are needed before your visit, please let us know on the registration form.
