The George’s Creek Promotion Council, in conjunction with George’s Creek Days is pleased to announce the 29th Annual Iron Furnace 5k run to be held, June 30, 2018 at 8:00AM in Lonaconing, MD. This is the 30th annual race that has become a staple in celebrating the community spirit. The post celebration for participants and their families culminates in the historic Iron Furnace Park with traditional “Coney” hospitality including refreshments and awards.

Registration on race day is $25 and will be from 6:45 to 7:40 am at George’s Creek Elementary adjacent to the starting line. All pre-registered participants will receive a race T-shirt and on race day will be provided while supplies last. Awards will be given overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in each age group as well as the top runner who is a resident of Lonaconing.
