Yoga and Wellness classes will be offered at The George’s Creek Library on Tuesday mornings, from June 4 through July 9.

Classes will begin with yoga from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. led by Leslee Wigfield. Leslee has certificate of training through YogaFit© in Level 1, Level 2, and Yogafit For Warriors, a trauma sensitive style of teaching that is helpful to veterans and anyone with PTS or TBI. The style of yoga is suitable for all levels, including those brand new to it.

Wellness discussion and tips will follow directly after yoga from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., led by Certified Personal Trainer & Health Coach, Jen Thomas. Weather pending, yoga may be held outside in the George’s Creek Library backyard.

Please bring a yoga mat and water. Yoga mats are provided if needed by reaching out to Jen Thomas at 301-777-9150, Ext.109. This program is free and open to the public.

Stretching to EmPower is a Yoga Wellness program to educate, motivate, strengthen and empower women (although men are welcome to attend!) This program is made possible by funding comes from the Federal Office on Women's Health and Area Health Education Center West, and other community partners.
