More About Celebrate Literary Lorain: David Miraldi, "The Edge of Innocence"

In 2017, David Miraldi published his first book, titled The Edge of Innocence: The Trial of Casper Bennett.

This book tells the story of the 1964 murder trial of Casper Bennett, a man accused of drowning his wife in a bathtub of scalding water in their home in Lorain. When Miraldi was just ten years old, he answered his family’s phone – and it was Casper Bennett wanting the services of his father, civil attorney Ray Miraldi. As an adult, David uncovered shocking facts about this long-forgotten drama, and the story he knew as a child disappeared, replaced by one far different.

Join us on April 17 to hear David Miraldi’s motivation for writing the book, information about the type of book it is, how he researched and wrote it, and more. A book signing will be held after the talk.

Free and open to the public, light refreshments provided.
