Pine Lodge Steakhouse and Saloon is a wonderful example of the log cabin style architecture traditionally used in the Deep Creek Lake area. Local craftsmen completed the impressive structure on May 21, 2002, when it opened to rave reviews.

Pine Lodge Steakhouse and Saloon (as well as Smiley’s Bar & Grill and Fun Zone) is located on farmland once owned by Vesta Enlow McSpaden. Her husband constructed a stone home on the property upon returning from WWII in the mid-1940’s. The 38 acres of real estate was purchased by Jonathan Kessler et. al. in 1987 and “The Fort” was developed. Pine Lodge Steakhouse was built in just 82 days and in time to open the weekend before Memorial Day of 2002.

Pine Lodge offers freshly prepared food at a great value. Our dining experience feels like a secluded mountain retreat with exceptional views, knowledgeable staff, and a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Serving only the finest cuts of beef, fresh seafood like jumbo lump crab cakes and Pacific Rim Ahi Tuna, BBQ Baby Back Ribs, and more. A specialty of the house,and as must have, is the famous creamy crab soup- it’s a favorite among the locals.
