Individuals wishing to attend Garrett College this fall are encouraged to attend, including new, returning, homeschool, and transfer students. In addition, non-traditional students looking to start or resume higher education are also welcome.

Prospective students are to check in at the Admissions Office upon arrival.

Individuals are encouraged to complete the following in advance, if possible: apply for admission to the college; complete and submit a FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); and request to have his or her transcript(s) sent in advance.

Students who have previously attended another college or university must present official transcripts from each institution attended prior to registering for classes. He or she may bring sealed official transcripts that day, or send them ahead of time.

These steps are not required to attend walk-in new student advising, as there is still time to enroll in the upcoming fall semester.

Those who do not need placement testing will meet with an academic advisor right away to discuss education and career goals and register for fall semester classes.

All college services will be open and available to answer any questions on walk-in days, including: admissions, advising, bookstore, business office, financial aid, library, records and registration, and student services (housing, disability services, etc.).

“Garrett College offers a number of programs designed to meet the career and educational needs of traditional and non-traditional students,” stated Mike Tumbarello, director of enrollment management at the college. “We are standing by and ready to work with and help all prospective students with advising, coaching, financial aid and ongoing support to ensure student success.

“If prospective students are unsure of their situation or how they can begin, I urge them to contact us and get started. Garrett College is here to help all students succeed,” added Tumbarello.
