More About Lake Catholic High School

Lake Catholic High School is one of five Catholic High Schools in Northeast Ohio owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and is the only Catholic high school in Lake County. From a single class of ninth graders in 1970 to the current student body of over 500 students from Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Ashtabula counties, Lake Catholic is a caring community and a provider of quality Catholic education for young men and women.

Of the school's 10,000+ alumni, over 90% have attended colleges or universities throughout the US and abroad. Many have returned to the North Coast to work and raise their families. Lake Catholic High School has a story of continual growth, a strong legacy and many outstanding achievements — academically, spiritually, athletically, and in extracurricular activities.

Lake Catholic has built a strong reputation in Lake County for close to 50 years and is highly regarded by its students, parents, alumni and the Northeast Ohio community. Our Cougar community of faculty, staff, students and parents are continually striving to live out the school’s philosophy established in 1970: to embody a culture that strives for a commitment to excellence; to provide a deep spirit of respect and compassion, to demonstrate personal integrity and a willingness to serve others.

Lake Catholic High School is an educational community centered in the mission of Jesus Christ where the young men and women of diverse interests and abilities are encouraged to learn, to work, and to think for themselves.
Lake Catholic strives to educate students in the model of our patron, St. Thomas Aquinas, by preparing our students, faculty and staff to create a culture that embodies love of knowledge, love of persons, and love of God.
