During National Education week in November, BizEd celebrates the excellent public education that we all enjoy in Union County and offers business and community leaders ways to connect with schools.

Principal for a Day-Choose one of the following three mornings
Monday, November 13, 8-12 pm
Tuesday, November 14, 8-12 pm
Wednesday, November 15, 8-11:30 am *Note the shorter time frame for Wednesday’s program to allow travel time to the Get ConnectEd Lunch
Shadow one of the 53 Union County Public Schools exceptional principals for the morning. You can tailor your schedule to your interests, see the inner workings of the school, and connect with students and staff. Wednesday, November 15, Noon-1:30 pm– All Principal for a Day volunteers and principals join together on Wednesday for lunch to share about their experiences, hear from Superintendent Dr. Andrew Houlihan, and learn ways to stay connected with UCPS. Location: South Piedmont Community College

BizEd breakfast
Thursday, November 16 – This is your chance to give to this good work! Hear from teachers who have received LIFT* grants, network with business and community leaders, and make an investment in public school teachers and students. (*Leadership and Innovation Funding for Teachers) Location: Carolinas HealthCare System Union, Women and Children’s Center.
