West Virginia Theater East is proud to present an original play written by Brett Reel, When. When tells the story of Ryan Clark, who has worked towards being a professor since he was 12 years old. Now that he finally has his dream job, he realizes…he’s not that into it. Ryan bumps into a student of his, Tom, at a café and is convinced to go to a small party with him and some other students, Maisie, Zooey, Lizzy, and Nate. After some homemade lager, an intense game of flip cup, and a round of truth or dare, Ryan knows what he wants to do. His problem now is how to tell his longtime girlfriend, Dorothy, and the longer he keeps his secrets, the further down the rabbit hole he gets. When is a story that blends comedy and drama in a very real way that will leave you thinking and laughing to yourself on the car ride home.
