About Conejo Valley Youth Orchestras

The Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra was founded in 1961 by Betty Bowen, at California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, California. Our program continues to develop and enhance the music education of local students and to provide symphonic orchestral music experience as a supplement to music education in the schools.

CVYO's mission is:"To Inspire Youth Through Music"

CVYO is home to three levels of orchestras, a brass quintet and percussion ensemble. 250 students ranging from ages 5-21.Rehearsals in Westlake Village, CA, performances at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

CVYO was selected by the Ventura County Arts Council for the Arts Stars Award-Nonprofit organization serving the community!
