The Annual "Makin' Strides for Strays" walkathon is held every year on the first Sunday in May. This year we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of this amazing event on Sunday May 6th. This is a dog and family friendly event featuring a 2.5 mile walk through downtown Naperville, music, refreshments, vendors and friendly canine competitions!

Since opening on Oct. 31, 1989, A.D.O.P.T. has found homes for more than 27,000 wonderful animals! A.D.O.P.T. provides extraordinary care for all animals entering the program, including many animals with special needs, who would never have a chance for rehabilitation and adoption at most other shelters. All funds raised will be used to continue such superior care for our animals.

A.D.O.P.T. could not help so many animals, including those most in need, without the hard work and dedication of the volunteers and generous donations of those who suport our misision. We sincerely appreciate your support of this inportant fundraiser benefiting the homeless animals of A.D.O.P.T.!
