Experts from the Zoo and the Northeast Ohio community team up to discuss a variety of topics impacting animal welfare, wildlife conservation and science education both at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and abroad.
Topic: Blueprints for Success
Who designs and builds animal habitats at the Zoo? What special considerations do we take into account for species, welfare or husbandry needs? How does it differ from building a new space for humans, and how does guest education or enjoyment factor into the plans? Dr. Christopher Kuhar, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Executive Director, will lead a panel discussion of animal and building experts on designing animal habitats with welfare top of mind.
