The City of North Myrtle Beach will host the 15th Annual Irish Italian International Festival on Saturday, September 29, 2018. This one day rain or shine event brings approximately 15,000 to celebrate different cultures. The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and continues until 4:00 p.m. on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach; featuring food from local restaurants, two stages of live entertainment, street performers, art & craft vendors, and dance groups all surrounding an Irish Italian International theme. Restaurants will compete for the title of Best Entrée, Best Decorated, and Best Dessert. Festival goers can also join in a friendly spaghetti eating competition (see below)!

A children’s area will offer a variety of entertainment that suits all ages; rides, inflatables and more (nominal fee).

Festival admission & parking are FREE.

The Recreation Division sponsors a wide range of activities, events, and festivals. The activities include year-round instructional classes for all ages in areas such as fitness, art, dance, crafts, and some sports. Examples of special city-wide events and festivals include the Sounds of Summer Concert Series, annual Easter Egg Hunt, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival.

Recreation facilities located at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center include two gymnasiums, an aerobics/dance room, and 6 classrooms.
