Restaurant Savings Time!

Restaurant Savings Time!

More About Restaurant Savings Time!

Dine Earlier is a way to help restaurants in response to Phase 2.1 guidelines that require eateries to stop serving by 9:30 p.m.

With safety in mind, and the recent rise in Covid-19 cases in Connecticut, Governor Ned Lamont rolled the state back to Phase 2.1 which requires restaurants to have last service for in-person dining at 9:30 p.m. (although takeout and delivery may continue). By closing earlier, restaurants may possibly lose an entire seating of patrons, especially on weekends.

Restaurant Savings Time is a call for residents to dine earlier, and thereby shift seatings up, in order to help eateries maintain their current level of service. Based on the idea of Daylight Savings time, if everyone dines one hour earlier, we can all do our part to support our local restaurants.
