The Orpheus Club Men's Chorus, New Jersey's pre-eminent men's chorus, welcomes all men who love singing to join us. All voice types (tenor, baritone or bass) are invited to our first weekly Wednesday rehearsal on September 11, 2019, from 8-10 p.m. at Care One at the Cupola, 100 W. The Orpheus Club, founded in 1909, presents 8-12 performances annually in the greater northern New Jersey area. Our annual December holiday concerts will be the weekend of December 14-15, as well as a special performance at New York City's St. Patrick's Cathedral on Thursday, December 19.

Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from September to April. But please contact us before coming, to make sure that rehearsals are "in season" and that there are no exceptions that week (holidays, weather, etc.).

More About this Event Poster: Orpheus Club Men's Chorus

The Orpheus Club Men's Chorus is the preeminent men's chorus in the State of New Jersey. Founded in Ridgewood in 1909, it is the oldest cultural institution in all of Bergen County. Fifty singers strong, we continue today the Orpheus tradition of delighting audiences, with our own style of eclectic repertoires ranging from Bach and Beethoven to the Beach Boys and Bruno Mars.

We are a diverse group of men, who share a common passion to make beautiful choral music. Our pursuit of artistic accomplishment is second to none. That we do this with such a wide range of musical genres is a tribute to the virtuosity of the Chorus. That we do this with a most congenial spirit is part of the Orpheus magic.

We are fortunate indeed to be led by a superb professional team in our musical director, John J. Palatucci, and our pianist, Ron Levy. These renowned artists are responsible in large part for the successes of the Chorus in recent years. Challenging and inspiring, they nonetheless uphold the tradition that we men of Orpheus enjoy our music and each other.

We have two main concert series, Spring Concerts in April, and Holiday Concerts in December. Come to our concerts and savor the magic for yourselves.
