More About Winter Radio Theater

Winter Radio Theater is back!

Yes, Central PA’s resident radio theater comedy troupe, The Not Ready For Drive Time Players, is ready to present another wicked take on the holiday season!

TWO CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS (Dec. 15 & 16, 7 pm), upstairs at the Center Street Grille in Enola. Featured skits will include: “Bernie Sanders Claus,” “Donald’s Christmas Carol,” and “Snow Bunnies Against Climax Change,” plus numerous song spoofs.

The troupe’s actors read directly from scripts like old-fashioned radio theater performers with “live” sound effects while performing skits that are reminiscent of Firesign Theater, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and SNL.

Admission for all performances is $5.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Enso Wellness, a non-profit 501 c3 that promotes creative well-being in Harrisburg and the surrounding areas, with programs that include: Individual counseling, animal assisted counseling, walk and talk sessions for anxiety and depression, community outreach with therapy animals, and basic case management/referrals for people and pets. Pet food donations will also be collected.

The troupe: John Butler, Randy Gross, Kelly Iris, Todd Matthews, Julia Tilley, and Randy Whitaker.

Caution: these shows contain some strong language and mature themes. Viewer discretion advised.
