Showers on-site: Clean up after the race in our pool bathhouse before you grab a delicious Buffet Breakfast (additional cost).
Timing: Pretzel City Sports times over 500 races per year and will be bringing their expertise to making your race-day experience as awesome as possible.
5k: 7:00AM start – Runners who are looking for an above-average challenge will find the grounds of Black Rock Retreat to be surprisingly rugged. The 5k loop will cover the over 100 acres of Black Rock Retreat property including a steep incline from the Octoraro creek. Total run has over 600 ft of elevation change.
10k: 7:15AM start – This event is not for the amateur runner. Course is single track and on naturally rugged terrain with creek crossings, steep climbs, and numerous rocky descents. No manufactured obstacles. Be alert for multiple rocks and roots. Registration limited to 100 runners.
Kids: A Lollipop Loop for kids 1st – 5th grade (must be accompanied by an adult) will occur on the ballfield at 7:30 AM with bubble machines at the finish line.
Awards: 5K & 10K: Awards for the males and females overall winners plus 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards for male and female in each of the following age categories: 18 & Under, 19 – 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ (No kids race awards but grab bags for all finishers.)
