Fall Family Day

Fall Family Day

More About Fall Family Day

Join us in celebrating the fall harvest and Craftsman Farms' agricultural past at our 13th Annual Fall Family Day. Set for Saturday, September 21, this traditional fall festival is the museum's biggest family program of the year! Fall Family Day features seasonal fun with hayrides around the grounds of Craftsman Farms, and pumpkin painting. Indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts encourage children to explore the landscape that was once the Stickley family's home and farm. Craft activities and handicraft demonstrations exercise young minds and hands. Bring the whole family and arrive early for a picnic on the grounds! And inside Stickley's Log House, tours will be suspended for the day and families are invited to stroll through the museum Open House at their own pace.

More About this Event Poster: The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

This 30-acre National Historic Landmark is the centerpiece of Gustav Stickley’s early 20th century country estate. The Stickley family’s home, known as the Log House, was built in 1911 and is one of the most significant landmarks of the American Arts and Crafts movement. It has been restored to its 1911 appearance and is operated by the Craftsman Farms Foundation as a historic house museum.

Tours of the Log House are available year round, as well as group tours for clubs, churches, special interested groups, schools, scouts, etc.

The Museum also offers lectures, workshops, and numerous educational programs, plus two family days each year. Off-site exhibitions are mounted and exhibition catalogues, which include new scholarship, are produced annually.
