Sharing the Specialness of Seafood Every Day

We believe good seafood can transform any meal into a moment to remember. Throughout our 48-year history, our focus has been making great seafood available to everyone, every day and creating a place that makes an ordinary day feel special. From the friendly smiles and hand-crafted cooking of our crew members to our new, beachy restaurant design, we want you to be relaxed as we transport you to the coast. We think there’s something fun about eating at Captain D’s, and we believe treating yourself and your family to a special seafood meal shouldn’t break the bank. Just as hard as we work behind the scenes to guarantee the quality of our ingredients, we are dedicated to ensuring Captain D's is a place where you can share really great seafood, in a warm and family-friendly environment, at unbeatable value.

Hooked on Quality

At Captain D’s, we believe that everyone should enjoy delicious, affordable seafood meals. So we start with finding the best ingredients to make those meals just for you—we search the seven seas, along with a few lakes and a river or two, for our fish and seafood. It’s important to us to make sure our food isn’t just delicious, but that it is also responsibly sourced. We also don’t cut corners on quality, which is why the fish we serve is a whole fillet cut from the tenderloin—not pieces or square patties. And because quality is king, we hold ourselves and our partners to the highest standards, making sure all of our ingredients come from the safest sources—even our wild-caught seafood.

At Captain D’s, we strive to serve you the best fish in the sea, without letting our prices get higher than the tide.

Just what you thought: wild-caught.

You know, it’s true that there are plenty of fish in the sea — especially at Captain D’s! Our fishermen have the planet’s health in mind and never have to drag their nets on the ocean floor. No, they head up to the crystal blue waters of the North Pacific for our Salmon and search off the coast of Alaska where the fish are healthy, happy, and commonly found. We strive to remain educated on the best sourcing practices like these to ensure our ingredients are the safest and most delicious. We’ve been doing it that way since 1969, and why rock the boat now?

Seafood for today and tomorrow.
Sustainable is attainable.

We love seafood, so we show the sea lots of love. That’s why our most popular fish on our menu is not just delicious — it’s also one of the most sustainable and plentiful fish in the ocean blue. That’s important to us, because it helps protect our planet while also ensuring plenty of fish to enjoy for generations to come. Plus, we personally get to know all our fishermen, who, by the way, we’d definitely recommend you meet if you get the chance — nice folks! Yes, at Captain D’s we love our fishermen, we love our fish, and we certainly love our seas.

Quality time.
United we fish.

We travel the globe to work with partners that will meet our high expectations of excellence and strict quality controls. We buy our ingredients from people we trust, whose practices we've personally inspected. We shake hands, we look them in the eyes, and we hold them and ourselves to a higher standard, because we know you do, too. At the end of the day, we need to trust that these people are providing us with fish we feed our own families back home. At Captain D’s, our quality’s always as steady as the wind in our sails.

Fillet

As far as we know, we’ve never caught a “fish stick.” That’s why we’ve never served them. In fact, we never serve any of that processed fish you can only find in boxes. And we’re proud to give you real fillets, sliced whole from the tenderloin—the best part of the fish. We then bread or batter it by hand or season and grill it to perfection. That’s the kind of fish we love — just go ahead and break open your next piece of Captain D’s fish, and you’ll see the whole fillet difference.
