The Bedford County Historical Society will be holding registration for the Quilt Show on Friday, September 27, from 1-4 pm and Saturday, September 28, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Society, 6441 Lincoln Hwy, Bedford, 2nd Floor. Parking and entrance are in the rear.

There is no fee to enter items in the Quilt Show & Sale. There is a limit of 12 items per entrant; there will be a charge for any items over 12. All items must be quilted and have a sleeve on the back for hanging, and your quilts and quilted items do not have to be judged. Please measure your quilt before registration. Categories for submission are: bed quilt, wall quilt, miniature, baby quilt, clothing & accessories, first piece entry, group entry, junior division (18 & under), art quilt, and Pioneer Challenge. Please no pre-printed panels. The following categories are for display or sale only; they will not be judged: home accessories and antique/heirloom. Additional awards will be given for the Pioneer Challenge Quilt, People’s Choice, Best of Show Hand-quilted, Best of Show Machine-quilted, and Judge’s Choice. You may also sell your quilts at the Show.

The Pioneer Challenge for this year is “Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes”; your quilt must feature Mother Goose or one of her nursery rhymes, and may made in your choice of pattern/design and colors. Please include a small summary explaining your quilt. The challenge quilt should measure no more than 30”x30” and can be made in the quilter’s choice of colors.

The Quilt Show & Sale will be held on October 5-13, open weekdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and weekends from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm; Sunday, October 13 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Quilts can be picked up on the final day at 5:30 pm.
