More About GPL: AARP Smart Driver Course
The AARP Smart Driver course teaches valuable defensive driving strategies and provides a refresher of rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has helped more than 15 million drivers learn research-based tips to adapt their driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may occur with aging. Plus, you may qualify for a multi-year auto insurance discount by completing the course (check with your insurance agent for details). Local resident and retired physician Dick Huber will present.
The course costs $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members, to be collected at the start of class and payable by cash or check. Space is limited so register online or by calling 317-881-1953 (press 4). Your registration information will be shared with AARP after the class.
Per the AARP, attendees must NOT have COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days before the event, tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days beforehand, and been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 10 days before the class. Depending on COVID-19 conditions, there is the possibility of cancellation up to the class time.
