More About Bangers and Mash at Brass Rail

“The music of Bangers and Mash is enough to make stodgiest curmudgeon dance with glee!”

Fun, fast, loud. It's Bangers and Mash. Cranking out original songs or completely skewering a classic, "BAM" gives it all they've got, all of the time. They'll keep you dancing in the aisles, raising a pint and having a ball. Bangers and Mash, as they say play, “Music for the Celticly Insane”. Based in Suffolk County, New York, the full-time line-up includes Liam Hudock on lead vocals, Carole Lesselbaum on lead vocals and Bodhran, Chad Herth on electric lead guitar, Seth Lesselbaum on bass and Seth Salwen on drums. They have played throughout the Northeast, Florida, the Midwest and are currently building a national following.

Seth Lesselbaum says, “When we started out to create the band the idea was to play Irish/Celtic Rock with a lot of original songs and wanted to go in a different direction of other bands in this genre. However we know we needed to please the crowd with copies of some of the popular tunes that bands on the circuit play. So we mixed it up and it’s all there in Quicksand Café.”

As the band evolved they went on to develop a sound they call ‘Americelt’ – a meld of Celtic Rock, Southern Rock and Folk - driven by fiddle, mandolin, electric guitars and drums – creating a driving sound that keeps the crowd moving while their stories keep the crowd listening and dancing along.

The album starts off with a rocking version of Fields of Athenry, skips on to a few more like Star of the County Down and on to the original title song, Quicksand Café. Video here: click for details
