Presented by: First Merchants Bank. Financial Literacy is understanding the way money works in the world: It is how you manage, spend, or borrow. This series will explore topics such as managing and recovering debt, fraud protection, and how to purchase your first home. You have the ability to attend one class or all. Sign up for each session individually. Light refreshments will be served.

Participants will learn about current scams and how to protect themselves and their identities.

Understand the home buying process and the difference between renting versus owning and financially protecting your home. Existing home owners can learn the pro and cons of borrowing against their home and what to do if they cannot make their mortgage payment, and refinancing options.

This session, you will learn about steps you can take to recover financially and rebuild your credit after experiencing a financial setback, including a financial
recovery plan. You will also learn how to avoid credit repair scams.

You will understand ways to save money and savings options to save toward your goals. Both short term and long term goals will be covered.
