More About Roxbury Township's 5th Annual Home for the Holidays Festival

All are invited to Roxbury Township's 5th annual “Home for the Holidays” street festival on Saturday, December 7th.

This family-friendly outdoor street fair will run from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM along Main Street in Succasunna by the Roxbury Public Library (103 Main St.,) and the Presbyterian and Methodist churches next door.

Along with holiday shopping at vendor & crafter booths, there will be games for kids and free carriage rides with jingle-belled horses. The Methodist Church parking lot will have lots of food trucks offering a variety of menus. Both churches will also offer homemade treats and hot drinks.

Santa arrives by fire truck at 12 Noon. “Santa Land” (sponsored by the Roxbury Area Chamber of Commerce) takes place inside the Library from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where families can meet Santa, get photographed with him ($5.00 for photo – all proceeds go to Roxbury Social Services), do fun crafts and hear holiday book readings.

Lots of live musical entertainment will add to the festivities both outside and inside the Presbyterian Church. The Wick-Hegarty School of Irish Dance will be there with their talented dancers jigging in the street. Costumed characters will delight your kids. Other new activities include a balloon decorated “photo booth” and face painting.

Free parking and shuttles are nearby at St. Therese Church and the Roosevelt & Franklin Schools. Handicapped parking available at 109 Main St.

This is a great way to kick off the holiday season, have fun with your family and friends, and get some holiday shopping done.
