More About Boy Scout Troop 114 of Valatie, NY
The Troop plans at least one activity per month, based on Scout interest, including day trips to local places, hikes, biking, backpacking, swimming, boating, weekends of camping with other events, visiting various cities such as NYC, Boston and Washington DC and many other options.
If it's available and somewhere between Maine and Virginia, we just might be there doing it!
In addition, every 5th year the Troop takes a larger 2 week trip to a variety of National Park sites in Colorado and Utah.
We also generally attend Scout Summer Camp for a week each year in July or August.
Finally (but certainly not least) we participate in several service events including leaf raking, collecting food for the local pantry and being part of the local villages Winter Celebrations in December.
New Members (Boys 11-17) are always welcome - and can be from around the area, as long as you are willing/able to travel to Valatie for meetings and events.
