I began my education at Purdue University for my undergraduate studies and I earned dual degrees in Bachelor of Health Science and Nursing, graduating Cum Laude. I attended graduate school at South University, in Savannah GA, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
I am a proud member of the AANP, ANCC, Sigma Theta Tau, Today's Nurse and Neighborhood Nurse Practitioner.
In 2020, I was recognized as Top Family Practitioner by the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.
Prior to founding my practice, I spent most of my career working in the Emergency Department at I.U Health and Saint Joseph Health Systems, caring for people of all ages with emergent needs such as traumas, strokes, heart attacks, abdominal issues as well as less emergent needs.
Most recently I worked at the family practice Knox Winamac Community Health Centers in Knox, IN., where I managed the healthcare of patients ranging from chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions, high blood pressure, COPD, depression, ADHD, and Crohn's, to name a few. I also addressed urgent issues such as acute abdominal pain, strep, influenza, ear infections, UTIs, URIs and most recently COVID 19.
I am a board-certified family practitioner who specializes in all aspects of family health. Being a medical provider is an honor to me and my goal is to care for my patients to the best of my ability. I firmly believe in the philosophy of patient-centered care: focusing on taking the time to truly listen to my patients and their concerns. Together we will develop a treatment plan specifically tailored to the individual. I find great reward spending time with my patients and keeping them informed and involved in the decision-making process throughout their healthcare needs. I am dedicated to excellent and compassionate care and taking the time to listen to my patients while never making them feel rushed. At Luxe Life Medical, the patient comes first. As a proponent of patient-centered care, I believe that effective communication is essential between the provider and the patient. When you decide to be my patient, we become a team in your healthcare needs.
