In partnership with Indiana Writers’ Consortium, Gabis Arboretum will be offering a day of writing workshops on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Experience a recharge and restoration in writing while exploring the beautiful Gabis Arboretum between writing-intensive workshops. In sessions facilitated by IWC members, attendees will focus on Character, Setting, Plot and Poetry. Each session includes a short presentation and time to write. As participants move from one session to another, they will enjoy a guided tour of the grounds. Optional box lunch provided for an additional fee. Pricing: $29 for Gabis Arboretum and IWC members/ $35 for Nonmembers.

The Indiana Writers' Consortium inspires and builds a community of creative writers. We are the premier group in Northwest Indiana dedicated to educating writers from the ground up through speakers, seminars, and our annual Steel Pen Creative Writers' Conference. IWC provides educational and networking opportunities for writers in all stages of their careers. Membership is open to unpublished as well as published writers. IWC is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Indiana in 2008. It is also a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
